Uni-Q driver array

At the heart of the Ci5160REF-THX is the 11th generation of the KEF’s signature innovation: the Uni-Q point source MF/HF driver array. With a 25mm vented aluminum dome tweeter at the exact acoustic center of a 125mm mid-range driver, both act as a single source that floods the listening space evenly with a flawless natural sound field.

Like everything else about THE REFERENCE, the bespoke 160mm LF driver optimized for use in-wall is a class apart. With a massive vented magnet assembly and a large aluminum wire voice coil driving an exceptionally light, stiff, and strong alloy cone, the dynamics and power handling are superb.

THX ULTRA Certified Three-way Speaker

The Ci5160RL-THX is crafted with a massive aluminum baffle to eliminate vibration. It is the perfect platform for the 160mm aluminum cone Uni-Q with a tangerine waveguide and four 160mm woofers. Capable of bi-wire and bi-amplifier connections, the Ci5160RL-THX delivers on all KEF R Series speakers’ performance promises.
